G-Force is not the same as RPMs. Blood components separate based on the G-Force they are subjected to. For example, 1,000rpms on a small centrifuge may equal 120G’s, but on a large centrifuge could equal over 700G’s
PRP is derived from an animal’s own blood (autologous use) to avoid immune reactions or compatibility issues. Injecting PRP from one animal into another risks rejection, allergic reactions, or disease transmission.
Qualification studies, performed on equine blood at Kansas State University, showed the one spin process concentrated platelets 2.3x and reduced WBCs 95%. The two-spin process concentrated platelets in excess of 7x and WBCs 1.8x.
The REBOUND PRP kit can process 10cc to 50cc of blood. The amount of PRP produced is 15ml or more.
Freezing PRP is NOT recommended.
